About the NCOPA

The NCOPA, which has been in existence for more than 50 years, is a professional and a social pharmacy organization with primary emphasis on providing its members a means to obtain quality continuing education. It is through this social gathering on a monthly basis that retail and hospital pharmacists within the North Central Ohio Region have the distinguished opportunity to network together and discuss topics of regional relevance. NCOPA monthly meetings are frequently hosted by pharmaceutical companies providing speakers who are specialists in their area of medical practice to discuss topics of interest to the pharmacy profession. These educational meetings provide information on new and emerging therapies, new medication releases, standards of medical care, understanding the management and treatment of various disease states, clinical updates, improving patient understanding and outcomes as well as the proper use of medications. Most importantly, yearly pharmacy law updates are provided by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and discussed along with any current issues affecting the practice of pharmacy.
